1.1 Connecting to XecliP-Server
You have to connect to a Xeclip-Server before joining a pair programming session. Please choose XecliP > QuickConnect from the menu or select the button
from toolbar. Then you will see the
following connction dialog.
- Host: server name,
- Port: server port,
- Username: your user name
- Password: and your password.
The password can be saved. It will be saved on your local harddisc in a encrypted way. (Saved passwords are stored on your computer in a file that is difficult, but not impossible, for an intruder to read.)
You can load the setting from history using the dropdown menu, if you have been to this server before. The history keeps track of the last 5 settings you used.
A connction to XecliP-server will be established after pressing the "Connect"-button.
